Irvine Sensors Wins Defense Subcontract

COSTA MESA — Irvine Sensors Corp. was selected as a principal subcontractor to Northrop Grumman Corp. on a 15-month, $1.6-million contract awarded by the U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command, the companies said Thursday.
Irvine Sensors will be responsible for preliminary circuit design, initial electronics integration and process documentation for the project, meant to manufacture new sensor designs for missiles, surveillance and night vision devices.
Irvine Sensors will work with Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman’s Electronic Systems Integration Division in Bethpage, N.Y. The division will design and manufacture the parts.
