Hungry Thieves Force Bulgaria Zoo Closure

SOFIA, Bulgaria —
A Bulgarian zoo is to close after 37 animals were eaten by hungry thieves, state news agency BTA reported Thursday.
“In a few days, 13 peacocks, 10 golden pheasants, six mountain goats and four sheep were stolen, slaughtered and eaten,” the agency said. Four deer were also shot by poachers.
