Countywide : 300 High School Kids Meet for Swim Event
About 300 local high school students are expected to take part in the first annual Orange County Swim for Kids beginning at 8 a.m. today at Villa Park High School.
Organizers are hoping to raise $10,000 through corporate sponsorships and through pledges collected by the swimmers. All proceeds will be donated to the Orangewood Children’s Home and the Orangewood Children’s Foundation, which provide shelter for nearly 3,000 abused and neglected Orange County children each year.
