LOS ANGELES COUNTY : Registration Deadline Is March 13 for April Election

The deadline for registering to vote in the April 11 election is March 13, Los Angeles County officials said Monday.

To be eligible to vote, residents must be 18 by Election Day and live in Los Angeles County. There are several major races on the April 11 ballot, including the primary for the seven even-numbered seats on the Los Angeles City Council, the primary for the 5th District City Council seat vacated when Zev Yaroslavsky became a county supervisor, a special election in the Whittier City School District, a special election for the 59th District Assembly seat, the Community College District elections seats and an election for the four odd-numbered seats on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education.
