Rams Fill Assistant Coaching Openings by Hiring Roland, Reilly, Pollard

ANAHEIM — The Rams have hired Johnny Roland, Jack Reilly and Don (Deek) Pollard as assistant coaches, the team announced Tuesday.
Roland, 51, has been named assistant head coach/running backs. Reilly, 49, was hired as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, and Pollard, 54, was named defensive line coach.
Roland spent the last two seasons as the running backs coach for the New York Jets. Before joining the Jets, he coached the Chicago Bears’ running backs from 1982-92.
Roland played for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1966-72 and for the New York Giants in 1973. Roland was named NFL Rookie of the Year in 1966.
