CareLine Inc.: The Irvine ambulance service company reported a profit of $4.6 million, or 31 cents a share, for 1994. That contrasted with a loss of $3.4 million, or 51 cents a share, for the previous year. Annual revenue increased to $148.2 million from $32.4 million. Fourth-quarter profit totaled $1.4 million, or 9 cents a share, contrasted with a loss of $2.3 million, or 32 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Three-month revenue rose to $52.4 million from $16.8 million. The company attributed the gains primarily to acquisitions made during the last four months of 1993 and the first 10 months of 1994.
