SAN FRANCISCO —
Less than two years after a gunman’s rampage left eight people dead in its California Street offices, the bicoastal Pettit & Martin law is shutting its doors.
The decision to dissolve the 120-lawyer firm, announced Monday, followed a period marked by difficult fiscal times and the departure of some top attorneys.
No mention was made of the attack by Gian Luigi Ferri, a failed businessman who killed eight people and wounded six. Ferri killed himself at the end of the deadly rampage.
