RESEDA : School to Install New Plants for Arbor Day

Share

The rain-delayed Arbor Day celebration at Cleveland High School in Reseda will be held Saturday.

Student volunteers in a group called the Interact Club received $5,000 worth of plants, trees and gardening equipment to beautify their campus.

The event marking the annual spring tree-planting day--observed today throughout California--was originally scheduled for last weekend. The planting will begin at 11 a.m.

The plants will replace those that died on campus as a result of broken sprinklers. The sprinkler system was damaged in the Northridge earthquake and has yet to be fixed.
