Raging Waters Theme Park to Hold Job Interviews Saturday

An estimated 1,000 job applicants, mostly teen-agers, are expected to line up Saturday for about 500 part-time seasonal positions at the Raging Waters theme park in San Dimas.

Sylvia Chapman, human resources manager, said good personalities, ready smiles, an ability to work with people and a neat appearance are some of the qualifications interviewers will watch for.

The job fair, open to applicants at least 16 years old, will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 50-acre park, 111 Raging Waters Drive, at the junction of the San Bernardino, Foothill and Orange freeways.

Positions at the park, which is open April 15 through Oct. 23, include lifeguards for the park's 22 attractions, cooks, cashiers and servers for 14 food outlets, and personnel for three retail stores. Workers are also being sought for admissions, first aid, guest relations, maintenance, parking and security.
