WET AGAIN? If you thought Orange County had just gone through the rainiest January and February on record, not quite. It was only the fifth worst rainfall--but the second worst in the past 15 years. . . . The county is bracing for another downpour that weather experts say could be the worst one yet this year: Rain expected today, and getting heavier tonight and Friday, could produce as much as four to five inches of rainfall in the county’s eastern foothills and canyons. STILL KICKING: Are you getting used to the phrase the St. Louis Rams ? Not Rick Horwitz of Orange and other members of the Los Angeles Rams Boosters Club--(714) 5GO-RAMS. They’re launching a phone/fax campaign to persuade National Football League team owners to vote next week against the Rams’ request to move. . . . “I know it has been hard to be a Rams fan the last few years,” says Horwitz. “But I really want them to stay.” Call the Boosters Club if you want the name, phone and fax number of all NFL owners.

ON TARGET: Latino humorist Rick Najera brings his one-man show, “The Pain of the Macho,” to the San Juan Capistrano Regional Library on Saturday (OC Live!). The San Diego native portrays eight different characters in his show--including a government official at the border patrol checkpoint south of San Clemente. . . . His inspiration? “I pull from the headlines,” says Najera. “What good satire does is comment on right now.”

PLAYING IT YOUNG: Jonathan Bellows of Placentia, who is 14, wants to be a playwright. What better way to start than to write plays? . . . Bellows’ social science teacher at Tuffree Middle School, Bill Melvin, was so impressed with a Bellows play he showed it to others. Result: The school put on the play, “Colours,” for the public Wednesday night in its auditorium. It repeats again tonight. Bellows, who is white, wrote about the feelings of a black youth entering an all-white school. . . . Says Bellows’ older sister Briana: “We’re all extremely proud of him.”
