Music: Warner Music Group, in another restructuring move, said it is forming Warner Media Manufacturing & Distribution to oversee distribution, manufacturing and packaging operations. The new unit will be headed by David Mount, who will be its chairman and chief executive, as well as Rick Wietsma, executive vice president. Mount formerly headed Warner/Elektra/Atlantic Corp., the Warner distribution arm better known as WEA. Added to the group under his supervision are WEA Manufacturing and Ivy Hill Corp., which packages compact discs as well as CD-ROM products for Time Warner Inc. and other producers. Mount is to report to Warner Music Group Chairman Robert Morgado, although he will report on sales and marketing issues to Doug Morris, Warner Music’s U.S. chairman.
