Save the Rams co-chairman Leigh Steinberg said Thursday that committee members will probably make a final presentation to NFL officials in Phoenix over the weekend.

League owners could begin voting Tuesday on the Rams’ plans to move to St. Louis. Under present rules, 23 of 30 owners must vote yes for the team’s proposed move to be approved.

“We are in the process of fine-tuning our presentation on stadium facilities and potential local investors,” Steinberg said.

The committee expects to meet with the league’s finance committee, possibly as early as Saturday, but will not be given the chance to make a presentation to league owners, Steinberg said.

The group’s proposal includes a new or renovated football-only stadium, season-ticket and luxury suite guarantees and an offer to purchase a share of the team.

Other task force members attending the league meetings will be: co-chairman Jack Lindquist; Rams Booster Club president Frank Bryant, and Wayne Wedin, the group’s financial analyst.

Last week, Wedin, Lindquist, Anaheim City Manager James D. Ruth and Anaheim Stadium General Manager Greg Smith met with the league’s finance committee in Dallas to answer queries about the team’s current stadium lease agreement.

“One of the gratifying parts of this whole process is at least being able to get a hearing with the league,” Steinberg said. “What was frustrating was making a series of proposals (to the Rams) and never getting a response. At least we are able to make the league aware that this is not an apathetic county.”

Steinberg said the group is having discussions with potential local buyers should the move not be approved by the league. They include George Argyros, a Costa Mesa developer, and William Foley, an investor based in Irvine.
