COUNTYWIDE : Foundation Offering College Scholarships
A Ventura County foundation is seeking high school seniors who need money to help pay for college.
The Ventura County Community Foundation is offering $500 to $2,000 scholarships to students who want to pursue college studies in an array of subjects, including music, agriculture, economics and politics.
The grants include two $2,000 scholarships to those interested in studying agriculture and a $500 scholarship established by former Ventura County Supervisor Vicky Howard to recognize a youth who has shown exemplary community service.
Students interested in these and other grants should contact the organization for applications, which are due April 5. For more information, call 988-0196.
