THOUSAND OAKS : Arco Chairman to Get Landry Medal

Arco Chairman Lodwrick M. Cook will be honored this month at Cal Lutheran University’s annual benefit banquet.

The Thousand Oaks school will present Cook with the Landry Medal, named after retired NFL football Coach Tom Landry, whose Dallas Cowboys for years held their summer training camp at Cal Lutheran.

The award recognizes those who “provide leadership and inspiration through strong Christian commitment and have distinguished themselves in their careers.”

Past recipients of the award include cartoonist Charles Schulz, comedian Bob Hope, former First Lady Nancy Reagan and former President Gerald Ford.

Cook has volunteered for Rebuild Los Angeles, National Junior Achievement and the Los Angeles Central Library.

Tickets for the benefit banquet, which will be held March 30 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, cost $150 each and are available from the university by calling 493-3151.
