Angel outfielder/first baseman John Fishel, jailed Tuesday for failure to pay child support, posted a $12,000 bond Wednesday and was released from Maricopa County jail.
Former Seattle Mariner and Texas Ranger reliever Mike Schooler had a successful, if not overly impressive, Angel debut, pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings in a 7-2 exhibition victory over the Chicago Cubs at Mesa, Ariz.
