Jack Hunt to Leave Tejon Ranch: Tejon Ranch Co. announced that Hunt is resigning as president and chief executive of the Lebec-based company to take a similar position at King Ranch in Texas. He will continue at Tejon until he assumes his new position in May. Hunt has been with Tejon for more than 14 years, serving as president and chief executive for the last nine years. King Ranch is a privately owned company based in Texas with extensive ranching, farming and energy operations. The 270,000-acre Tejon Ranch, 60 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, is engaged in a range of activities including commercial real estate, farming, ranching and mining.
