Citizens Have a Right to Drug-Free Work Force

Lorraine Loder, who has not been harmed in any way, is suing the city of Glendale because she personally disagrees with the city’s drug-testing policy (“State High Court to Hear Glendale Drug Test Appeal,” Feb. 17). This in the face of the fact that the city found in a pilot program that 20% of the applicants had used drugs.
Her attorney, Marvin Krakow, waves the flag of their rights. Don’t we Glendale taxpayers and citizens have the right to be protected from potential drug users in our work force?
