Fellowships: Pair Give $252,000 to USC Program
A Westside couple has endowed USC with $252,000 to fund graduate student fellowships.
Yoshi and May Honkawa of Century City have established the fund for students in the graduate program in Health Services Administration at USC’s School of Public Administration.
Yoshi Honkawa, a USC alumnus, is now retired but serves as a government and industry relations consultant to the Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Students will be selected for the Honkawa Fellowship based on scholastic merit and financial need.
“We are deeply grateful to May and Yoshi Honkawa for this special contribution,” said Jane Pisano, dean of the School of Public Administration.
