Furon Co.: The Laguna Niguel maker of industrial components reported a profit of $11.4 million, or $1.27 a share, for the fiscal year ended Jan. 28, up 39% from the $8.2 million, or 92 cents a share, posted for the preceding year. Sales grew 9% to $312.1 million from $285.2 million the previous year. Furon posted earnings of $3 million, or 33 cents a share, for the fourth quarter, an increase of 15% from $2.6 million, or 29 cents a share, posted for the previous year’s last quarter. Final quarter revenue rose 19% to $80.9 million from $67.8 million a year ago.
