Camera Platforms International Inc., a Valencia-based supplier of camera platforms for the motion picture industry, said it has agreed to be acquired by Western Production Services Inc., a holding company owned by Santa Fe, N. M., businessman Paul M. Roth.
Under the agreement, which is subject to shareholder approval, Western will pay $2.6 million in cash and assume liabilities expected to total about $1.5 million, said Philip M. Panzera, president of Camera Platforms.
Camera Platforms will continue to operate under the same name and in its current form, Panzera said. The company sells and rents dollies, cranes and other equipment to the motion picture and television industries.
