Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Body Is Found in Remote Area
A man walking his dog in this remote Antelope Valley community discovered the remains of a woman’s body Thursday.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department listed the death as suspicious.
Sgt. Bob Denham of the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station said the fully clothed, unidentified body was found face down about 10:40 a.m. at 220th Street West and Avenue D in the unincorporated community of Neenach.
“A man was out walking his dog and he came across the remains,” Denham said. “We know they’re old, but we don’t know how old.”
An autopsy will be held to determine the cause of death and identification.
