Orange County Home Sales
Home sales in the first three months this year dropped 26% from last year’s first quarter, and for March alone, they fell 25% from March, 1994. Analysts attribute the decline to bad weather, rising interest rates and consumer fears about the county’s fiscal crisis. Average selling price declined by 1.2% for the first quarter, but 3.5% from March to March. Figures are monthly only.
