Policing the Internet

Share

I’d like to commend you for your opposition to the Communications Decency Act. I agree with your March 30 editorial that it is poorly written and conceived. For one, I don’t think it will work; sexually explicit material will continue to be propagated and transmitted no matter what. But I am also offended by the notion that Sen. James Exon (D-Neb.) and his fellow thought police feel entitled to determine what I should or shouldn’t read. I have two small children, and when they’re old enough to navigate the Net by themselves, I want to be the one determining what they should and should not have access to.
