Second Suspect Jailed in Buena Park Shooting
A second suspect was arrested Saturday in connection with the shooting of a 24-year-old man the previous day, police said.
The victim, Guillermo Gutierrez of Buena Park, suffered a minor graze on the top of his head Friday evening when shots were fired from a nearby car into a vehicle in which he was riding, police said. The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. near Holder Street and Crescent Avenue.
Anthony Stephen Wright, 18, of Buena Park was arrested in Cypress soon after the shooting. Gregory Jason Chandler, 21, of Long Beach was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Saturday at a Buena Park home, Lt. Robert Chaney said. A small-caliber semiautomatic handgun also was recovered from the home.
Both men have been booked on suspicion of attempted murder, Chaney said.
The victim was treated and released from West Anaheim Medical Center Friday night. The driver of the car was not hurt.
