Toronto passed Chicago in the standings for the first time since the season’s opening week, moving into third place in the Central Division by two points.

Vancouver 2, Dallas 2--Kevin Hatcher scored with 10:48 to go in regulation at Dallas and the Stars tied the Canucks for the fourth time in as many meetings this season.

NHL Notes

Dallas right wing Shane Churla was suspended for four games without pay for his role in an incident Sunday afternoon against Chicago, the NHL announced. Churla, who leads the Stars with 184 penalty minutes, was involved in an altercation with Blackhawk defenseman Chris Chelios. As linesman Mark Vines was attempting to separate the players, Churla punched Chelios in the head.
