More HMO Executives Leave: The exodus of top management from Health Systems International continued since the news of its plans to be acquired. The Woodland Hills company announced that Executive Vice Presidents Stephen D. Vogt and Gerald M. Cooper have resigned. Earlier this month, WellPoint Health Networks, also of Woodland Hills, announced a proposal to acquire Health Systems, parent of the Health Net health maintenance organization. The acquisition had already prompted the resignation of Roger Greaves, Health Systems co-chairman and co-chief executive. A company spokesman said Tim Littlefield, Health Net’s vice president of sales for Northern California, also announced plans to leave the company. Vogt had also served as vice chairman, chief legal officer and secretary at Health Systems. Cooper also held the title of chief financial officer. Health Systems said B. Curtis Westen Jr., a senior vice president, has added the titles of general counsel and secretary and that E. Keith Hovland, executive vice president and treasurer, will add the title of acting chief financial officer.
