Hughes Electronics Corp., parent of Hughes Aircraft, on Wednesday reported a 7% drop in first-quarter earnings. The Los Angeles-based automotive and aerospace electronics company, a unit of General Motors Corp., earned $237.9 million, or 67 cents per share of GM Class H common stock, compared to $251.1 million, or 70 cents per share, in the first quarter of 1994.
Revenue fell slightly to $3.58 billion from $3.59 billion.
