Police said Mora was sitting on the wall having lunch with co-worker Marta Romero, 31, of Pasadena, when Romero’s estranged husband, Raul Alcazar Romero, 38, allegedly drove up and stepped out of his car.

Romero exchanged words with the pair and then fired several shots at Mora from close range, police said. Marta Romero was not hurt, police said.

The Romeros were separated and were planning to divorce, police said.

Romero fled the scene in a white 1993 Nissan Sentra, license plate 3CDM465. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pasadena Police Department at (818) 405-4501.
