A Jordanian American cleared of involvement in the Oklahoma City bombing said Saturday that people had dumped trash in front of his house and spat at his wife.

Ibraham Ahmad was brought back to the United States from London on Thursday for questioning in relation to the deadly car bomb attack.

“The FBI said to me that no one would know they had stopped me and questioned me, but when I get back here I find my wife is being harassed, that my name is in the newspaper, that everybody in the whole world thought I was the bomber,” Ahmad, who was born in Jordan, told reporters here.

“They have spat on my wife, they have put trash on the lawn, filthy things,” he said.

Ahmad said it was only a coincidence that on the day of the bombing, he was returning to Jordan by way of London and Rome. He was stopped in Chicago, his bags were searched and he was released only to be stopped again hours later in London and brought back to the United States for questioning.
