FULLERTON : City Offices to Close Every Other Friday
City Hall will be closed May 5 and every other Friday thereafter for six months in an effort to meet air quality requirements, city officials said.
During the trial period, City Hall, the police and fire departments’ administrative offices and the Fullerton Municipal Airport will be open to the public from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on alternate Fridays.
City Council members will evaluate the new program in September to determine whether to make the schedule permanent.
City officials hope the new system will reduce maintenance costs, save money on utilities, reduce employee commutes to work and help meet an air quality mandate.
