Directors to Speak at Technology Meeting

Film directors Martha Coolidge, Nicholas Meyer, Bill Duke, James Cameron and Michael Corrente are among speakers scheduled for the 1995 Artists Rights Digital Technology Symposium on Thursday and Friday at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The symposium is being held in conjunction with Friday’s John Huston Award for Artists Rights dinner at the Regent Beverly Wilshire honoring director Steven Spielberg (“Schindler’s List,” “Jurassic Park”).

The dinner’s co-chairs are David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese, Barbra Streisand and Robert Zemeckis.

Panel topics will include “Emulsion to Computer-Generated Images,” “Truth and the Consequences of Alteration,” “Our Digital Future” and “Searching for Common Ground.”

Symposium tickets are $50 for one day or $75 for both days (plus $75 per day for luncheons with keynote speakers). Tickets for the dinner honoring Spielberg are $500.
