BARGAIN BASEBALL? If you are still a little miffed at the Angels over the whole strike business, there is a good side: The Angels, who open at home tonight against Detroit (C1), didn’t raise ticket prices this year. The annual survey by Team Marketing Report of Chicago shows six teams raised prices--led by the Colorado Rockies, who went up an average of 34%. But six teams--Detroit, Toronto, Florida, Kansas City, San Diego and St. Louis--actually lowered prices, to lure fans back after the strike.

NO SHOW: The Rams may have a new home in St. Louis, but they are still viewed as bad box office by the schedule-makers at ABC’s “Monday Night Football.” The Rams, coming off five consecutive losing seasons, will miss the prime-time showcase for the fourth year in a row. Four teams, including the Super Bowl champion San Francisco 49ers, will appear three times.

BEST BOSS: Today is national Secretaries Day--when bosses take them to lunch. Two local secretary groups have asked Supervisor Marian Bergeson to address them at a Hyatt Regency luncheon in Irvine. Bergeson should feel safe--her secretary, Renee Aragon, above, calls her “terrific.” . . . . Aragon worked for Supervisor Thomas F. Riley, and was hired by Bergeson when she replaced Riley in December. . . . “Most people I’ve worked for have been men,” says Aragon. “I must say it’s wonderful to work for a woman. We have many similar interests.”

TO THE PLAINS: For nine years, local Red Cross volunteer Judy Tuohey of Laguna Hills has worked disasters. So no surprise that Tuohey, 58, a registered nurse who specializes in mental health work, flew to Oklahoma City on Tuesday for a 10-day stay (B4). Tuohey has been assigned as a mental health coordinator. . . . Says Tuohey: “I’m always scared just before going to a disaster, but then you get off the plane and get on with the business of helping people recover.”
