Mark Chapin Johnson, the Orange County Performing Arts Center board’s vice chairman for development, is expected to be named board chairman in January, replacing Thomas H. Nielsen. Johnson is president and CEO of the Chapin Medical Co., which sells drugs. Long active in center fund raising, he sponsored the center’s jazz series in 1994 and was involved in sponsoring the engagements of two Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals.
