Delta Trims Losses: The Atlanta-based airline credited a cost-cutting program with shrinking losses in its fiscal third quarter to $11 million from $78 million a year earlier. The loss for the January-March quarter was 66 cents a share, down from the 1994 quarter’s loss of $2.10 a share. Revenue for the quarter was up slightly to $2.9 billion, from $2.88 billion in the same period last year. Delta Air Lines, which has suffered record losses over the last three years, said an austerity program enacted last summer is paying off. The program included cutting 15,000 jobs.
