AH, YOUTH: Here’s one right out of a “Wayne’s World” script: The Southern California band Wax is following up its Spike Jonze-directed “California” video (the one with the guy on fire) with a clip for its upcoming single, “Who Is Next,” directed by 16-year-old Jake (Squirt) Fogelnest. This is the directorial debut for the teen, whose “Squirt TV” show, emanating from his house, has become a New York community access cable favorite.

With Jonze serving as a consultant, Fogelnest shot the band driving around in a vintage ’67 VW microbus--and no, the van is not on fire.

By the way, that’s “Who Is Next” you’re hearing in the current Nike TV ad in which tennis stars Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras stage a “guerrilla” match in a crowded San Francisco street intersection. The spot was directed by--who else?--Jonze.
