A motorcyclist in his late 20s died early Friday afternoon after crashing into the side of a pickup truck that turned in front of him, police said.

The motorcyclist--who had no identification with him and was riding a 1994 Honda motorcycle that had no license plates--was headed eastbound on Mulholland Drive near Flamingo Street in Woodland Hills about 10:30 a.m., said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Walter Hogue.

Tevita Lehauli, 29, of Compton, was driving his Ford pickup west on Mulholland Drive, Hogue said, and began to turn left onto Flamingo Street in front of the motorcyclist when the crash occurred.
