Officials Refuse to Shut Down ‘Swinger’ Parties
Finding no evidence to support a neighbor’s complaints of debauchery run amok, Costa Mesa officials Friday gave 71-year-old Bill Goodwin permission to continue hosting partner-swapping swinger parties in his two-story house.
“God, I’m so happy, I don’t know what to do!” said Goodwin, slamming his phone down with glee after getting the good news from Costa Mesa City Manager Allan Roeder.
A white-haired grandfather and self-styled “stud,” Goodwin throws three unabashed libido parties each month in his modest home, which he calls “the Panther Palace.”
The party has raged uninterrupted for nine years, but city officials threatened to shut it down last week when a neighbor said Goodwin’s guests were causing traffic jams and frolicking up and down the street in the buff.
