These Two Are Not Ghetto Dwellers

Brent Burton’s response (“In Cochran’s Defense,” Letters, April 9) to negative letters about O.J. Simpson defense attorney Johnnie Cochran (“For the Defense” by Michael J. Goodman, Jan. 29), should not go unanswered.

Burton writes: “And that group of letter writers. . .” (I was one of them) “. . .can’t be living near any of the areas where the flames of racism are fanned every day.”

May I remind Burton that neither Simpson, whose house is in Brentwood, nor Cochran, with residential property in both Marina del Rey and Los Feliz, resides in those troubled areas.
