Colorado Trails ranch near Durango, Colo., is celebrating its 35th year with discount rates for seniors who want to experience the great outdoors with their grandchildren. An all-inclusive package offers indoor and outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, water-skiing, volleyball, hiking, basketball, nature walks, horseshoes, line-dancing lessons and an overnight camp-out for kids. There is a heated swimming pool and a whirlpool spa. Optional activities include skeet shooting, river rafting, fishing and tours to nearby places, including Mesa Verde National Park.

One-week stays begin June 11 through Aug. 20. Prices include all meals, daily maid service, special programs and evening entertainment. A two-bedroom alpine cabin for two adults and one child between ages 5 and 18 is $2,795, a savings of $330 off the regular rate. White Pine Ranch, also in Colorado, has almost 1,000 acres of aspen groves, timbered forest, spring-fed brooks and rolling meadows. The ranch is surrounded on three sides by Gunnison National Forest and offers many activities, including fishing on nearby rivers, mountain biking, boating, golf, Jeep tours, picnicking and horseback riding. Guest rooms at the ranch are in a building reminiscent of a New England country inn.

White Pine offers three-night and six-night stays at prices that are discounted for guests over 60. For six nights (Monday through Saturday) adults are $1,050 per person; seniors deduct $200. Children ages 5-12 in the same room, $650. Three nights are $550, seniors deduct $100; children, $350. Prices include room, all meals and activities.
