Lake Casitas Brimming With Trophy-Sized Bass
Fishermen found trophy-sized largemouth bass to be particularly hungry last Friday at Lake Casitas. The Ventura County reservoir produced eight fish weighing more than 10 pounds, the largest a 14-pound 4-ounce bass caught by Adrian Lopez of Ventura.
But the largest of the week was landed Saturday: a 15-pound 8-ounce fish by Walter Obrecht of Moorpark.
“We’ve just had a whole lot of lovely, lovely fish,” said lake manager Randy King.
