Irvine Youth Win Lacrosse Title

Irvine beat Trabuco Hills, 13-8, Sunday at Heritage Park to win the championship of the Orange County Youth Lacrosse League.

Mission Viejo beat El Toro, 6-3, in the third-place game.

James Balagot of Irvine was selected the league’s most valuable player as well as midfielder of the year. Jeff Wilson of Trabuco Hills was the attacker of the year, Peter Briggs of Mission Viejo was defender of the year and Trabuco Hills’ Ty Wilson was goalie of the year.
