KOREATOWN : Library Expands Its Children’s Programs

Children can now receive help with their homework and hear stories at the Wilshire Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library.

The library is offering free after-school homework assistance to elementary, middle and high school students in reading, writing skills and basic math Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m.

Younger children also can take advantage of a free storytelling program provided by Grandparents and Books, a group of senior citizen volunteers who read stories to children daily from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays.
