World IN BRIEF : BRITAIN : Man in Channel Port Rushes at Prince
Britain’s Prince Charles was involved in a security scare when a barefoot man rushed at him and was wrestled to the ground by police. The man, dressed only in shorts and a T-shirt, lunged at the heir to the throne when the prince was getting into his official car in the English Channel resort of Brighton, police said. The man tried to hand the prince a note and was pounced on by police when he attempted to burst through their lines. He was arrested and taken away in handcuffs. The prince was described by police as “unruffled” by the incident.
