Sober Grad Night

Laguna Beach High School has been providing a safe party for grads on Grad Night for more than 30 years. Costs have been similar to those of other schools mentioned in the article (low $30,000’s). We aren’t “competing” with other schools, but we do everything possible to entice the seniors to attend this party, knowing that this is the most dangerous night for them to be out celebrating. All our seniors look forward to this party each year.
If you feel that $30,000 to $40,000 is an outrageous price tag, try dividing that figure by the number of graduating seniors at the average high school. You will find that it comes to about $60 to $100 per student, not much when you consider the potential consequences. The statistics speak for themselves. I’m sure many people spend more than that on a new outfit, a pair of shoes or a nice dinner out!
