AT&T; Talks Hung Up Over Retirees’ Health Premiums: Negotiations on a new contract for AT&T; Corp.’s 110,000 union employees remained stalled on whether the telephone company’s retirees should pay part of the premiums for health benefits. Tentative agreement was reached a day earlier on a company-paid health plan for current employees and talks were scheduled to resume Wednesday on the retiree issue. But at midafternoon, Jeffrey Miller, information director for the Communications Workers of America, said the talks were recessed. Although both the CWA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers have authorized a strike, none has been scheduled.
