SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Suggestions Sought on Names for 3 Schools

Share

Capistrano Unified School District officials are seeking names for three future schools in Aliso Viejo, Coto de Caza and Las Flores.

The public is invited to submit suggestions that may range from historical figures and pioneers in the area to the names of living or deceased people who have made significant contributions to the school district.

Names also can include current or former school district personnel, geographic locations in the district or cities and communities.

Suggestions should be made to the school district’s public information office at (714) 489-7350.

A future elementary school in Aliso Viejo, slated for Wood Canyon Road and Sanborn, should be completed by September, 1996.

But because of funding uncertainties, it is the only one of the three future schools with a firm completion date, district spokeswoman Jacqueline Price said.

The Coto de Caza elementary school is planned for land near the south gate of the community, across from Wagon Wheel Canyon Regional Park.

The Las Flores school for grades K-8 is planned for Oso and Antonio parkways.
