INTERFAITH OFFICERS: The Rev. Dudley Chatman, pastor of the Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church in Pacoima, will be nominated on June 14 as the next president of the San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council.

No opposition is expected to the slate of new officers to be presented during the council’s business meeting at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Granada Hills, according to a council spokesperson.

Chatman, now the council’s vice president for community response, would succeed the Rev. Allyn Axelton, a United Methodist clergyman who is a campus minister at Cal State Northridge.
