TUSTIN : Hot Competition Sure at Chili Cook-Off

More than 30 teams are expected to compete Sunday in the El Camino Real Championship Chili Cookoff, which serves as a fund-raiser this year for the Food Distribution Center of Orange County.

Scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Old Town section of Tustin, the 11th annual event will feature team contests for best chili, best team spirit and best booth decorations.

The general public will be eligible to enter a chili pepper-eating contest, and will select the “People’s Choice Award” winners by sampling various chili recipes.

There will also be country-western music, line dancing, and food and refreshment booths. Admission is free.
