2 Airlifted After Buena Park Collision
Two men who collided at an intersection here and suffered serious chest injuries Friday were airlifted to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
Marcos Fuentes Urendez, 27, of Westminster was driving north on Western Avenue when his pickup collided with a car driven by Govind Patel, 46, of Anaheim at the intersection of Jackson Street, Police Lt. James Schoales said.
Twenty-three firefighters and paramedics worked to rescue the men. Paramedics freed Patel from the wreckage of his car using the Jaws of Life. He suffered chest, lower abdomen and head injuries.
Urendez also suffered chest injuries. Both men were in stable condition Friday night.
A passenger in Urendez’s truck suffered minor injuries.
The accident is still under investigation, Schoales said.
