SMELL- O-VISION

Please let Esther Schiller know that she is not alone in her aversion to heavy perfume (Letters, May 28). Even those without asthma share her dilemma.

I have had untold numbers of theater experiences ruined (at a cost much higher than a movie ticket) by women and men who must have bathed in their perfumes or colognes.

And don’t get me started on trying to savor a meal when seated at a table between dueling perfumes.

Although perfume does have its irritating (and harmful) problems, I am more incensed when I find myself sitting next to someone who hasn’t seen a shower in days. Body odor is my major pet peeve.
